How Rapid Release Works: High-Frequency, Short-Stroke Vibration
An independent explanation of the mechanics Rapid Release describes for its current vibration-device lineup.
Rapid Release describes its current products as using patented high-frequency orbital vibration. The clearest way to understand that is to separate two variables: how quickly the surface moves and how far it travels.
High frequency
The Pro3+ is listed at about 10,000 VPM (167 Hz). The ProAm and Traveler provide lower selectable speed ranges.
Short stroke
The Pro3+ specification lists a 1/16-inch (1.6 mm) amplitude. That is much shorter than the stroke associated with many percussion massagers, so the devices should not be compared on speed alone.
What this explanation does not prove
Mechanical specifications explain how a device moves. They do not independently establish that it treats a disease, heals an injury, breaks scar tissue, or produces a guaranteed clinical outcome. We keep those questions separate.
