Device specifications often mix VPM, RPM and Hz. They are related but should not be treated carelessly.

VPM

VPM means vibrations per minute. A device listed at 10,000 VPM completes roughly 10,000 vibration cycles per minute.

Hz

Hertz means cycles per second. Dividing 10,000 by 60 gives about 166.7 Hz. That is why Rapid Release lists the Pro3+ at roughly 10,000 VPM / 167 Hz.

RPM

RPM literally means revolutions per minute. Some device marketing uses RPM when describing motor or movement speed even when the user-facing motion is not a full revolution. Compare manufacturer definitions before treating two RPM/VPM figures as equivalent.

Why speed alone is incomplete

Frequency says nothing about stroke distance, force, ergonomics, noise, or whether the device fits your intended use. Read our amplitude guide next.
